August 12th

Wednesday freedom. I already fed the chickens but ran out of time to feed the cats. both are right by his "classroom" (separate from each other) and both very vocal.. so I had to wait to feed them after his first class. today he was supposed to have 3 classes, so I *thought* we would be visiting cousin Tracy.. nope, never happened. 

the internet was out this morning. I don't know how long for, but it went out again from 1:55-2:40. good thing his 2:00 student canceled (so he really only had 2 classes today). he has a new student from 5:00-5:45.. a guy from Argentina.

we cleaned the upstairs fish tank. now it's MUCH clearer. and scrubbing around, got the shrimp all excited so they are swimming all over to clean! clean! clean! I always think of things to do when I'm at work, so I look forward to accomplishing them when I'm home. And then I'm home, and can't think of where to start.. then I come up with a plan once I'm already back at work. 😠

One hummingbird feeder is already empty.. I think everything evaporated. I moved the small feeder to the back and the big feeder to the front -- then realized I have no way to hang the big one in the front -- other than putting it back where the small one was.. in which case it would just evaporate as well..

Still need to figure out the bird bath in the front yard. right now it just looks like a random lamp stand in the front yard 😒 but, hey, it's not like our front yard is all that glorious to begin with..

every day there is a fire near us. near as in about 10 miles away. sometime it's closer than 20 miles. but still near enough to make an impact. there has also been daily fires near where I grew up. today there is on off Rocky Peak, near where I was. now there is a fire at Lake Hughes, near where I am now. 

during his 5PM  class, I watched Black Beauty (2015). it gets harder and harder to find good movies, movies that aren't "cheesy". this was a good one, a really good one.
