since I’m so great at this blogging thing,
…perhaps I’ll stick to a post every ~5 months
sunsets are beautiful this time of year..
and the view ain’t half bad either
we got a new breadmaker last week, a new pasta maker last week..
those are the highlights around here..
I am that old that I get excited about kitchen appliances..
Ronnie had started to be sick early August - he left on a trip a few days later thinking he was better. the "better" ended up being AFTER Thanksgiving. so that was 4 months of wonderful hell.. with doctor's appointments, various prescription medications, food and smell sensitivities..
around that same time Charlie Buckets had an itchy eye he kept messing with.. eye drops.. Benadryl.. an e-collar.. had to keep his mind off it though.
so, work is as magical and glorious as it's always been.
I'm batting a thousand every day I'm there.
54 new patients for new clients, and 35 new patients for existing clients - in FOUR MONTHS!
we said goodbye to 28 pets (5 or 6 more were elsewhere - and 8 more since the start of the New Year)
we DID get a new vet around October. she works with us Mondays and Fridays and the occasional Saturday. she is more understanding of us. and follows our mind frame, questioning the things that we question.
Charlie Buckets had another eye thing.. with the rubbing and the wiping.. and the oozing.. and the cone.
I survived the 1 yr anniversary of losing my dad..
the 7 year anniversary of losing my Nona..
and the 9 year anniversary of losing my Jessie..
but we also lost Lillie and Mr Grey within a week of each other..
Lillie had a bad fall and within a week she was gone..
Mr Grey was doin' awesome - until he wasn't. stray dogs in the middle of the night.. it was that fast..
so it's safe to say that December just isn't a good month..
